Многом скори дође крај
Другом пак ни часак родни не свиће
Ког' је било и чег' никад не беше
Тајне небом тавним чуваху звезде
Над златом поља, над лијесом,
над словом и сном,
Један народ што биће и беше,
тисућ' душа што с нама су једно
и све оно што можемо бити...
Душом и умом свим и славом искона
попут груде на длану својим небо чини,
Докле земља кано љубе тела стеже
небо шапће кому слуша...
И који черте и резе словит' знаде, тог чатца су тајне
живота, али и смерти,
они знају са небом да зборе,
и да мртве у звездама виде!...
К земљи труне земљано,
небу хрли небеско,
Тиха гробја, људи сви,
међ' звездами...
Народ без неба –
народ без душе,
Тамо је све што чекамо,
чему се надамо,
сви наши сни...
Мертвих гласјем небо јарно ослових
и дне часком тавно постаде, звездама се осу,
Људство међ' Богами на равне части стаде,
преда мном у трену неста тмине, светлошћу ме обли
Хиљаде лица, хиљаде гласова,
Народ звездани зоре путерасказује
Народ не чине само
људи на груди земљаној
Гробља и мертви,
Као они на небу што живе,
Сви...
The Stars
Svarun
To great many things the end has come
The others however have yet to be born
Of the one whohas been and of that which never was
The secrets are kept with the darkened sky by the stars
Over the golden fields, over the forest,
Above the letters and the dream,
A people which will be and which was,
A thousand souls that are one with us,
And all that we can sometime become…
With the soul and mind and the glory primeval
Just as the lump of earth, (the people) make the sky their own,
As long as the land grips the bodies as a lover
The sky whispers to the one who listens…
And he who knows the “lines and the marks” (ancient Slavic script), of that seer are the secrets
Of life, but of death as well,
They know how to communicate with the sky,
And how to see the dead in the stars!...
Towards the earth rot the earthen things,
Towards the sky rush the heavenly things,
Silent graveyards, all the people,
Among the stars…
A nation without the sky (heavens) (is) –
A nation without a soul,
Up there is everything we wait for,
Everything we hope for,
All our dreams…
With the voice of the dead I address the fiery sky (heavens)
And the day quickly turns dark, the stars sprinkled over it,
Humankind amongst the Gods stands equal to them,
In front of me the darkness disappears in an instant, I am bathed in light
Thousands of faces, thousands of voices,
The people of the stars shows the way towards the dawn
The people are not only
Those people who live on the lump of earth
Graveyards and the dead,
As well as those who live in the sky,
Everyone…
